Quality & Standards

At FCR Iron Works, quality isn't a checkbox — it's built into every weld, every connection, and every project we deliver.

We believe the best measure of quality is a project that performs exactly as designed, looks exactly as specified, and stands the test of time. That standard guides every decision we make — from how we read drawings to how we make our final welds.

AWS Certified Welders

FCR Iron Works employs AWS Certified Welders, bringing formally tested and verified skills to every project. Our certified welders — alongside our broader team of experienced ironworkers — are qualified across structural welding processes including SMAW, FCAW, and MIG welding, ensuring the right technique and quality standard is applied to every connection we make.

Field Quality & Alignment

During erection, our field crews use levels, transits, and string lines to verify plumb, level, and square at every stage. We don't sheet or cover until the frame is right. Final bolt tightening and connection inspection is completed before any project is considered closed.

Weld Quality Standards

We hold our welds to AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code standards as our internal benchmark, even where not formally required. Visual weld inspection is performed throughout fabrication and erection — not just at the end — so quality issues are caught and corrected in real time.

Safety on Every Job Site

Our crews follow OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 safety standards on every project. Fall protection, proper PPE, and daily safety briefings are standard practice — not optional. We take pride in running clean, safe job sites that protect our people and everyone working around us.

Shop Fabrication Controls

In our fabrication shop, we use jigs, fixtures, and layout controls to ensure consistent dimensions, angles, and spacing across all fabricated assemblies. Parts are checked against approved drawings before they leave the shop floor — so field installation goes smoothly.

Continuously Improving

FCR Iron Works is committed to continuous improvement in our craft, our safety practices, and our quality systems. We are actively working toward formal AWS and AISC certifications as part of our long-term growth — because the clients we serve deserve the best.
